Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to Boston College, 135-89

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving squad was unable to overcome Boston College on the road Tuesday night. The Crusaders fell to the Eagles 135-89 in their final regular season meet of the season.

Highlighting the meet for Holy Cross was a first place team finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Holy Cross paced the field with a time of 3:27.16.

Sophomore Christopher Smith (West Haven, Conn.) was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:09.35. Smith also took second in the 1000-yard freestyle event (10:37.87).

Also winning an event was junior Matthew Frigault (East Freetown, Mass.), who took the 200-yard breaststroke.

Freshman Kevin Kitson (Chappaqua, N.Y.) continued his solid season taking second in the 100-yard freestyle.

Both the Crusader men and women will compete next at the Patriot League Championships, which will be held for three days in Annapolis, Md., starting on Thursday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m.
