Swimming & Diving Loses To Boston University, 123-100

Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross men's swimming and diving lost to Boston University in their first meet of the second half of the season. The Terriers defeated the Crusaders by a score of 123-100.

The highlight of the day for Holy Cross was a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Senior Hugh Hayden (Lincolnshire, Ill.), freshman Kevin Kitson (Chappaqua, N.Y.), sophomore Christopher Smith (West Haven, Conn.) and freshman Matthew Grogan (Allenwood, N.J.) combined for a time of 1:33.30 to take the top spot.

In the 100-yard butterfly, junior Brian Jackson (Phoenixville, Pa.) finished second with a time of 57.65.

The Holy Cross men will compete again next Saturday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m when they travel to Fairfield University. The Crusader women will host Central Connecticut State and Vermont tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at the Hart Center.
