WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team has placed 15 student-athletes on the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Senior Anthony Russo (Stratford, Conn.) led the team with a 4.00 grade-point average and was named to the team for the fourth straight season.
Others named to the team included seniors Ben Chelmow (Newton, Mass.), Zachary Cietek (Guilderland, N.Y.) and Nick Videtti (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.); juniors Michael Brower (Falling Waters, W.Va.), Thomas Horigan (West Hartford, Conn.), Michael Noone (Stamford, Conn.), Andrew Olivieri (Newark, Del.) and Jack Swain (West Hartford, Conn.); sophomores Brendan Collins (Burlingame, Calif.), Christopher Keating (Chatham, N.J.), Kevin MacNeill (Newington, Conn.), David Mullany (Monroe, Conn.) and Joe Terranova (Melrose, Mass.); and freshman Andrew Higgins (New Canaan, Conn.).
A total of 124 student-athletes from men's swimming and diving teams around the league were named to the Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
