Men's Swimming & Diving Gears Up For Worcester City Championship This Weekend
Schedule: Friday-Saturday, Jan. 18-19, at Worcester City Championship, Worcester, Mass., 6:00 p.m. (Fri.), 10:00 a.m./4:00 p.m. (Sat.)
- The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team will return to the pool at the Worcester City Championship this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18-19, hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
- Last season, the Crusaders hosted the Worcester City Championship at the Hart Center and came away first overall in the team competition with 510 points. WPI finished second with 495 points and Clark took third with 424 points. Junior Nick Videtti (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) was named Diver of the Meet as he won the one-meter dive with a score of 199.42 and three-meter dive with a score of 211.88. Senior Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) added three first place finishes while sophomore Jack Swain (West Hartford, Conn.) and junior Jan Yburan (Livingston, N.J.) also won their respective events.
- Holy Cross is finishing up a winter training trip to Key Largo, Fla. The team headed south on Jan. 8 and is training at the Jacob's Aquatic Center. To view the team's daily blog, click here.
