Men's Swimming And Diving Prepares For Dual Meet At Springfield

  • The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team will continue action in a dual meet versus Springfield on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1:00 p.m.
  • The Pride will open the 2012-2013 season against the Crusaders in their first home meet of the season. Last year, Holy Cross lost to Springfield in Worcester by a score of 169-131. Senior Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) led the team with three first place finishes, winning the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Junior Jan Yburan (Livingston, N.J.) and sophomore Michael Brower (Falling Waters, W.Va.) each added another first place finish for the Crusaders. Yburan touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke while Brower led the way in the 100 butterfly.
  • The Crusaders are coming off the New England Catholic Invitational where they won two of six dual meet scores, defeating LeMoyne 185-164 and Regis 284-33.The team lost to Providence College by just 10 points, 175-165.
