2011-2012: Competed in seven different individual events including the 50, 100, 200, 400, 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyles…also a member of the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle and 200 and 400 medley relay teams…posted season-best times in the 50 free (23.67) versus Bryant, in the 100 free (50.65) at the Terrier Invitational and in the 200 free (1:48.25), 500 free (4:51.58) and 1,650 free (16:42.43) at the Patriot League Championship (2/16)… set a new school record with his time in the 1.650 freestyle at the Patriot League Championship…named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2010-2011: Placed 14th in the 1,650 with a time of 16:53.52 at the Patriot League Championship...finished first in the 400 yard free relay (3:32.41) against Fairfield...finished first at the Worcester City Championship in the 1650 yard freestyle (17:50.33) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:03.50)...finished first in the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:35.19) against Springfield.

2009-2010: Swam season-best  times in the 50 free (23.69), 100 free (50.34), 200 free (1:48.86), and 500 free (4:52.70) at the Patriot League Championship...swam a team-best time in the 1,000 free (10:35.86) at Springfield.

Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the Fordham Preparatory varsity swim team...recieved Coach's award in 2007 and 2009...team went undefeated in 2008 and 2009...state champions in 2007, 2008 and 2009...one-year member of the varsity hockey team...two-year member of the varsity tennis team...member of the Badger Swim Club...named to the Principal's Honor Roll in 2007 and 2008...member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Robert and Brenda Lyons...has one brother, Sean, and one sister, Deirdre...majoring in Psychology with a pre-med concentration.
