Twelve Members Of Men's Swimming & Diving Named To Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Twelve members of the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office, including senior Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.) who was named to the honor roll for the fourth time. Senior Patrick McMahon (Middletown, N.Y.) led the team with a 3.90 grade-point average.
The other members of the team named to the honor roll were juniors Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.), Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) and John Vatalaro (Strongsville, Ohio); sophomores Ben Chelmow (Newton, Mass.) and Anthony Russo (Stratford, Conn.); and freshmen Thomas Horigan (West Hartford, Conn.), Alec McCabe (Agoura Hills, Calif.), Jake McLaughlin (Erie, Pa.), Michael Noone (Stamford, Conn.) and Andrew Olivieri (Newark, Del.).
A total of 97 student-athletes from men's swimming and diving teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
