Men's Swimming And Diving Falls To Bryant, 196.5-65.5

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team fell to Bryant on Saturday afternoon by a score of 196.5-65.5. Junior Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.08, forty-seven hundredths of a second faster than the time he posted in last weekend's meet against Providence.

Second place finishes for the Crusaders included sophomore Jan Yburan (Livingston, N.J.) in the 50 yard backstroke finishing with a time of 26.00 flat, the 200 yard medley relay team consisting of Yburan, Power, freshman Michael Brower (Falling Waters, W.Va.) and junior John Vatalaro (Strongsville, Ohio) finishing at 1:42.17 and the 200 yard freestyle relay team made up of juniors Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.) and Ned Supple (Needham, Mass.), Power and Vatalaro finishing with a time of 1:33.93.

The men's swimming and diving team returns to the pool for the final competition of the season Feb. 16-18 at the Patriot League Championship.
