Men’s Swimming & Diving Edged By Springfield

WORCESTER, Mass.  – Junior Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) finished first in three events Saturday afternoon as the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team fell at Springfield 169-131 in non-league action. Power won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.63, the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.08 and then claimed first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.72.

Other top performers for the Crusaders included sophomore Jan Yburan (Livingston, N.J.) and freshman Michael Brower (Falling Waters, W.Va.). Yburan took first in the 100 back with a time of 55.25 and second in the 200 back with a time of 2:05.65 seconds.  Brower touched the wall in first place in the 100 fly with a time of 58.00 seconds.

The Crusaders will take a couple weeks off, returning to the pool on Nov. 18 for the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University.
