Eleven Members Of Men’s Swimming & Diving Named To Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Eleven members of the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office. Seniors Matthew Hynes (Maywood, N.J.) and Matt Mullaney (Livingston, N.J.) led the Crusaders with perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the spring semester.
Seniors Sean Hager (Westfield, N.J.) and Aidan McGrath (Quincy, Mass.), along with junior Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.), were named to the honor roll for the third time. Sophomore John Vatalaro (Strongsville, Ohio) earned the honor for the second time, while junior Patrick McMahon (Middletown, N.Y.), sophomores Chris Malfitano (Harrison, N.Y.) and Edward Supple (Needham, Mass.), along with freshmen Anthony Russo (Stratford, Conn.) and Nick Videtti (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) were named to the list for the first time.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester. Lafayette placed 18 student-athletes onto the Academic Honor Roll to lead all schools for the second year in a row. Navy was next with 16, while American, Army, Bucknell and Holy Cross pitched in 11 apiece. Rounding out the list was Lehigh with 10 student-athletes and Colgate with eight.
