Holy Cross Men’s Swimming & Diving Selected Eighth In Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team was selected to finish eighth in the 2010 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Last season's Patriot League champion, Navy, was selected first with 14 first place votes and 98 points. The Mids won their seventh consecutive league title with a record 1,047 points at last year's Championship.

2010 runner-up, Bucknell, was selected second with 83 points and one first place vote, while Army was selected third with 76 points and one first place vote. Lehigh was voted fourth with 59 points, Colgate was selected fifth with 48 points and Lafayette was voted sixth with 35 points. American and Holy Cross rounded out the poll in seventh and eighth place with 34 and 15 points respectively.

Holy Cross will kick off the 2010-2011 season on Friday, Oct. 15 when it hosts Fairfield in a dual meet at the Hart Center.
