Men's Swimming & Diving Races In Day Two Of Patriot League Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Freshman Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) finished 14th in the 100 breast to lead the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team in the second day of competition at the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship in Annapolis, Md. After 26 events, the Crusaders have fallen into eighth place with 95 points, while Navy continues to lead the competition with 670. Power finished with a season-best time of 1:00.42. Junior Sean Hager (Westfield, N.J.) had a top-twenty finish in the 400 IM, placing 17th with a time of 4:31.05.

The Crusaders kicked off the evening with an eighth place finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of sophomore Connor Bowman (Princeton, N.J.), Power, junior Nick Larsen (Whitman, Mass.) and senior Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.) finished with a season-best time of 1:40.98.

Holy Cross finished up the day's competition with an eighth place performance in the 800 free relay. McShane, freshman Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.), senior Ryan Boate (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and Bowman combined to finish with a time of 7:21.63.         

Holy Cross will conclude action at the Patriot League Championship tomorrow starting at 10:30 a.m.
