CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Rookie Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) led the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team with a first place finish in the 100 breast against Boston College on Thursday, Feb. 4, as the Crusaders fell to the Eagles in Chestnut Hill. Power placed first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.08.
Senior Ryan Boate (Pleasantville, N.Y.) finished second in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:53.70, while sophomore Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.) finished third with a time of 11:35.48 and took second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:22.94. Senior Stefan Opolski (Haverhill, Mass.) finished third in the 200 back with a time of 2:16.19 and senior Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.) took third in the 500 free with a time of 5:10.99.
On the diving boards, senior Joshua Rodriguez (Dudley, Mass.) placed second on the one meter board with a score of 215.02 and second on the three meter board with a score of 199.27.
Holy Cross will complete the 2009-2010 season at the Patriot League Championship on Feb. 18-20 in Annapolis, Md.
