Crusaders Set To Host Providence, Honor Seniors

  • The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team will host its last meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 30 against Providence at 1:00 p.m. The Crusaders will honor their senior class prior to the start of the meet.
  • Holy Cross fell at Providence last season by a score of 133-99. The Crusaders swept the 200 breast, with sophomore Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.) taking first with a time of 2:39.08, senior Brian Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) finishing second with a time of 2:39.21 and junior Sean Hager (Westfield, N.J.) finishing in third place with a time of 2:42.17.
  • Last weekend, the Crusaders just missed claiming their fifth Worcester City Championship title, falling to WPI by a score of 367-348. Holy Cross had seven swimmers take first in an individual event including a top finish by senior Joshua Rodriguez (Dudley, Mass.). Rodriguez took first on the three meter board with a score of 229.45.
  • Holy Cross will honor seniors Livingston, Rodriguez, Ryan Boate (Pleasantville, N.Y.), Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.), Aaron Brosnan (Westford, Mass.), Stefan Opolski (Haverhill, Mass.) and Michael Ragone (New Rochelle, N.Y.) prior to the start of the meet on Saturday, Jan. 30.
