Holy Cross Swimming & Diving Falls At Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Freshman Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) took first in three events, but the Holy Cross swimming and diving teams couldn't hold off Bryant Wednesday evening, falling to the Bulldogs. The women's team was outscored 157-105, while the men's team fell 160-99.  

Power claimed his first top finish of the night in the 200 medley relay. Power teamed up with sophomore Connor Bowman (Princeton, N.J.), senior Aaron Brosnan (Westford, Mass.) and freshman Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.) to win the race with a time of 1:44.01. Power then touched the wall first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.26 and took first in the 200 breast with a time of 2:19.89. 

The women's team was led by a top finish in the 200 fly by sophomore Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C). O'Shea took first with a time of 2:12.75. Senior Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) finished first in the 100 free with a time of 55.06 seconds, while freshman Kristen Desrosiers (Gorham, Maine) took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.57.

Holy Cross returns to the Hart Center for the Worcester City Championship on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 22-23.
