Crusaders Take A Break, Return To The Pool In December

  • The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team will take Thanksgiving off before traveling to the Harold Anderson Invitational on Dec. 4-5 in Kingston, R.I.
  • At last weekend's Terrier Invitational, sophomore Patrick McMahon (Middletown, N.Y.) finished with three personal-best times. McMahon swam a personal-best time of 1:01.76 in the 100 back, 2:10.99 in the 200 back and 2:16.25 in the 200 IM. Senior Brian Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) finished with a personal-best time of 4:46.60 in the 400 IM and sophomore Michael Burns (East Amherst N.Y.) had a personal-best time of 25.73 in the 50 free and time of 2:16.00 in the 200 IM.
  • So far this season, senior captain Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.) has been the top Holy Cross performer in the 50, 100 and 200 free. McShane had season-best performances in the 100 (49.97) and 200 free (1:51.55) at last weekend's Terrier Invitational.
  • Rookies Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.) and Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) have been the top Holy Cross performers in six events. Lyons has proven to be the top Crusader in the 500 and 1000 free events, while Powers takes the top spot in the 50, 100 and 200 breast as well as the 200 IM.
