Holy Cross Swimming & Diving Falls To Lehigh
WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Maggie Gousman (Fanwood, N.J.) took first in the 50 free as the Holy Cross men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to Patriot League opponent Lehigh on Saturday afternoon at the Hart Center. Final scores and complete results, including times and places, will be posted shortly.
Gousman took first in the 50 free with a time of 25.63 and placed second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:29.22. Senior Alisha Carrazza (Boonton Township, N.J.) finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.46, sophomore Annie O'Shea (Washington, D.C.) placed third in the 500 free with a time of 5:26.32 and freshman Jill Chudwick (Farmington, Conn.) finished third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:19.23.
The men's team was led by senior Ryan Boate (Pleasantville, N.Y.) with a fourth place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 11:08.75, freshman Brian Lyons (Greenwich, Conn.) took fourth in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.58 and senior Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.) finished fourth in the 50 free (23.21) and 100 free (51.84).
The Crusaders hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Fairfield on Sunday, Oct. 18 for a dual meet starting at 1:00 p.m.
