Trott Named Second Team All-New England

Worcester, Mass. - Sophomore tri-captain Josh Trott (Glen Cove, N.Y.), a member of the Holy Cross men's soccer team, has been selected to the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America / adidas All-New England team. Trott, who was a second team selection, was the lone Crusader selected to the squad.

Trott was named first team All-Patriot League earlier this year, and was the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a second team all-league selection in 2003. He started all 14 games he played in this season, and led the Crusaders in goals (five), points (12), shots (54) and shots on goal (24). Trott was also tied for first on the team with assists (two).

The Glen Cove, N.Y., native was also tops in the Patriot League when playing league opponents in goals (four), goals per game (0.67), points (nine), and points per game average (1.50). For his career, Trott has nine goals and three assists for 21 points in 29 starts.

The Crusaders finished the season with a 7-6-2 overall record, while going 1-4-2 in Patriot League play.
