Worcester, Mass. - Junior midfielder Andreas Andrews (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman forward Kyle Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Mid Atlantic Region Third Team after a successful season which included going undefeated in Patriot League play and hosting this year's Patriot League tournament.
Concluding the season, Andrews was named to the COSIDA Academic All-Distric Team. He finished the season tied second on the team in goals (five) and total points (11). Andrews also notched his first career game-winning goal, lifting Holy Cross to a 2-1 Patriot League victory against Lehigh on Saturday, October 13.
Miller had an impressive debut season as he was named the 2007 Patriot League men's soccer Rookie of the Year. He led the Crusaders in points (16) and goals (seven) and also had two assists on the season. Miller recorded two game-winning goals during his first season and was also named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 29). Miller scored his first collegiate goal and recorded his first career assist during a 4-0 victory against Manhattan in the Crusaders' season-opener.
Other Patriot League players named to the All-Mid Atlantic Region First Team include Colgate's Daniel Belke and Lehigh's Kyle Evans. Joey Kuterbach (Bucknell), Conor O'Brien (Bucknell), Scott Hawkins (Lafayette), and Eric Anton (Colgate) were named to the Second Team while David Cappuccio (Colgate), Joe Mellott (Bucknell), Corey Curnutte (Bucknell) and Anthony Sepe (Lafayette) were named to the Third Team.
