Dec. 13, 2005

WORCESTER, Mass. - For the second consecutive season, Holy Cross men's soccer captain Josh Trott (Glen Cove, N.Y.) has been named to the 2005 National Soccer Coaches Association of America / adidas All-New England Second Team, as announced by NSCAA officials this afternoon.

A junior forward, Trott was also recently named First Team All-Patriot League for the second straight season. The New York native started all 15 of the games he played in this year and finished the season tied for first in the Patriot League in total points (20 points) and goals (nine goals). He also led the team in both of those categories.

An All-Region and All-New England selection last season, Trott also ranked second in the conference in points per game (1.33 points per game) and goals per game (0.60 goals per game) across all games this season.

The three-time All-Patriot League performer earned BRINE Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 13) accolades earlier this year, and finished the season tied for 16th with four points (two goals) in conference action (Patriot League games only).
