BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Holy Cross' Josh Trott (Glen Cove, N.Y.) was selected as Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year as announced by the Patriot League at the championship banquet on Thursday evening in Bethlehem, Pa.
Trott scored 15 goals in 17 games this season, setting the Holy Cross single-season record for goals scored. The senior forward leads the Patriot League in shots per game (3.47), points per game (1.76) and goals per game (0.82). Nationally, Trott is in the top 10 in goals per game. He was named to the First Team All-Patriot League the past three years and his freshman year he was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Patriot League. Trott was named Patriot League BRINE Offensive Player of the Week once this season.
Other major awards went to Lehigh's John O'Reilly (Arlington, Mass.) for Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Colgate's David Cappuccio (Pittsford, N.Y.), was awarded Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year. Bucknell's Nathan LaGrave (Okinawa, Japan) earned Patriot League Rookie of the Year accolades and for the third time Lehigh Head Coach Dean Koski was selected as Patriot League Coach of the Year.
