Josh Trott, Alex Cruz Named to All-Patriot League Teams

Center Valley, Pa. - Senior captain Josh Trott (Glen Cove, N.Y.) was named to the 2006 Patriot League Men's Soccer All-League First Team and senior midfielder Alex Cruz (Conyers, Ga.) was named to the All-League Second Team, as announced by conference officials today. This is the fourth league award for Trott and the first for Cruz.

Trott scored 15 goals in 17 games this season, setting the Holy Cross single-season record for goals scored. The senior forward leads the Patriot League in shots per game, points per game and goals per game. Nationally, Trott is in the top 10 in goals per game. He was named to the First Team All-Patriot League the past two years and was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Patriot League his freshman year. Trott was selected as Patriot League BRINE Offensive Player of the Week once this season.

Cruz earned his first-ever All-Patriot League selection starting in all but one game this season. He finished third on the team with eight points, three goals and two assists. Last year he was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Holy Cross ended the 2006 campaign with a 5-11-1 overall record and a 1-6 mark in league play.
