WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross men's soccer player senior midfielder Andreas Andrews (Los Angeles, Calif.) has been named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine All-District I Second Team, selected by the College of Sports Information Directors of America. The team is comprised of players of Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Starting in all 15 games so far this season, Andrews is currently tied for fourth on the team in scoring with one goal and two assists for four points. He scored his lone goal of the season in a loss to Quinnipiac on Sept. 30 and picked up an assist in Patriot League victories over Bucknell on Oct. 4 and Navy on Oct. 18. Academically, Andrews has a 3.33 grade point average with a major in Economics. This is Andrews' second year being named to the Second Team.
The Crusaders (8-4-3 overall, 3-1-1 Patriot League) will host their final regular season home game versus Patriot League opponent Army on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 5:00 p.m.
