  • The Holy Cross men's soccer team will play at Quinnipiac on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 4:00 p.m., while the Crusaders will then host Bucknell on Saturday, Oct. 4 in Patriot League action at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at 3:00 p.m. The two teams are tied for first place as both teams have a 1-0 conference record.

  • Junior goalkeeper Thomas Booth (Patchogue, N.Y.) was named the Brine Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for his shutout in the 1-0 win over Colgate in the Patriot League opener. It was his fourth shutout of the season and the second straight week he has received this award. Booth currently tops the Patriot League in goals against average (0.59), save percentage (.857), shutouts (four) and shutouts per game (0.50). Nationally he is ranked 23rd in goals against average and 26th in save percentage.

  • Holy Cross leads the league in goals against average and its five goals allowed for the season are the least allowed in the conference.

  • Sophomore Matt Beckley (Congers, N.Y.) has two goals on the season and they are both game-winning goals, including the game-winner in the Colgate victory.
