Men's Soccer Ties Lafayette, 0-0, in Double Overtime

EASTON, Pa. - Junior goalkeeper Thomas Booth (Patchogue, N.Y.) posted his seventh shutout of the season as the Holy Cross men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with Patriot League opponent Lafayette on Saturday afternoon at Metzgar Field Athletic Complex. With the tie, the Crusaders are now 9-4-4 (4-1-2 Patriot League) while the Leopards are 8-5-5 (3-1-3).
Sophomore forward Kyle Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) had the most opportunities on offense for Holy Cross including a shot in 100th minute, at the 99:13 mark, but came up short as Lafayette's goalkeeper Philip Nelson made a save, pushing the game into the second overtime.
Booth made four saves for the Crusaders while Nelson had five stops.
The Holy Cross men's soccer team returns to action as it will compete in the Patriot League tournament on Nov. 14-16.
