PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior Ryan Maduro's lone goal was just enough for Providence College to defeat Holy Cross, 1-0, in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Jonathan Medcalf assisted Maduro's first season goal the lone goal in the 18th minute. His pass allowed Maduro to beat Holy Cross goalkeeper Thomas Booth (Patchogue, N.Y.) to his right and tuck the ball into the open net.

Freshman Kyle Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) led the Crusaders with three shots including two on goal.

Booth made five saves for the Crusaders while Providence College goalie Timothy Murray had three saves. Holy Cross now stands at 2-2 while the Friars improved to 3-2.

Holy Cross will travel to play Northeastern at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday September, 18.
