Dusan Obsajsnik is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Crusaders in 2010, working primarily with the goalkeepers. He also serves as the goalkeeping consultant for the New England Revolution’s Youth Development Program.                     

A former professional player in the Czechoslovakian first division in the 1970s, Obsajsnik brings more than 28 years of experience coaching in Europe and the United States to the Holy Cross team. Obsajsnik, who holds his USSF “A” coaching license, has held professional head coaching positions in both Czechoslovakia and Austria.

Obsajsnik began his playing career as a goalkeeper with the FC VSS Kosice Youth Soccer Program in 1960. He traveled through the various levels of the program, spending four years in the junior league, before beginning a nine-year career with the First Division men’s side in 1971.

When he concluded his playing career, Obsajsnik accepted his first coaching position in 1979 as the head coach of FC Pozemne Staby of the Second Division in Kosice.

Since relocating to the United States, Obsajsnik has worked as a coach with other colleges and universities, including Boston College, Boston University and Southwest Missouri State. Throughout his travels, Obsajsnik has worked with former New England Revolution goalkeepers Ian Feuer, Kyle Singer and Jeff Causey.
