Monty Sanders

With graduation this week on May 23, senior captain of the men's soccer team Monty Sanders (Temecula, Calif.) is preparing for the next step in his life. This season, Sanders was outstanding as he led the Crusaders to the Patriot League Tournament championship game. He earned second team All-ECAC honors, while he was named first team All-Patriot League for the second year in a row, in addition to being selected to the NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Region team. He tallied four goals, eight assists and 16 points, which were all career-highs. His eight assists are second all-time in a season in school history. Sanders, who was a two-time captain, tallied 11 career goals, 10 assists and 32 points. His 10 assists are tied for 10th all-time in program history. He was named to the Patriot League All-Academic team for the first time in his career this year. Sanders was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll three times and was a three-year member of the Holy Cross Leadership Academy.
