Josh Cintas & Monty Sanders Earn All-Patriot League Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. Holy Cross men's soccer juniors Josh Cintas (San Diego, Calif.) and Monty Sanders (Temecula, Calif.) have earned first team All-Patriot League honors. This is the first time since the 2008 season that the Crusaders have had a first team selection. 

Cintas leads the team with a career-best six goals and a career-best 13 points, while he also has one assist. His six goals and 13 points are the most for a Crusader since the 2008 season when Kyle Miller posted nine goals and 18 points. His six goals are tied for second in the Patriot League, while his 13 points are tied for fifth in the league. He is also tied for second in the league with a team-best two game-winning goals. For his career he has seven goals and six assists for 20 points. This is his first All-League honor.

Sanders, who is a co-captain, has three goals and a career-best two assists for a career-best eight points. His three goals are second on the team and his eight points are tied for second. He netted his first career game-winner with his goal in the 2-1 victory versus Navy on Oct. 27. For his career, Sanders has seven goals and two assists for 16 points. This is also his first All-League honor.

The Crusaders (5-9-2, 2-3-2 PL) will conclude the season with a game at Harvard (2-10-3, 0-5-1 Ivy) on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m.
