Six Men's Soccer Players Named To Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. - Six members of the Holy Cross men's soccer team have been selected to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including sophomore Vincent Garaofalo (Glenwood, Md.) who topped the team with a 3.57 GPA during the fall semester and picks up the honor for the second-consecutive year.
The other members of the team named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll consist of senior captain Peter Siclari (Providence, R.I.), junior Tom Van Grinsven (Chicago, Ill.), and sophomores Joey Curran (Salem, Va.) and Ryan Hall (Dallas, Texas). Freshman Jonah Poster (Newton, Mass.) picks up the honor as well after posting a 3.39 GPA in his first collegiate semester.
A total of 94 student-athletes from men's soccer teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be a member of the school's team in one of the seven Patriot League-sponsored fall championship sports.
