The Holy Cross men’s rowing team will travel to Arlington, Va., for the George Washington Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
On Saturday, April 4, the Crusaders hosted Dartmouth in their home spring opener with Dartmouth recording a first place time of 7:47.5 in the varsity four race while Holy Cross’ second freshman squad finished with a time of 8:36.4.
The Crusaders also faced Columbia and MIT on Saturday in Cambridge, Mass. In the varsity eight race, Columbia won the event with a time of 3:38.96, followed by MIT (3:40.86) and Holy Cross (3:46.40). In the second varsity eight race, Columbia finished with a first place time of 7:25.80 while the Crusaders recorded a time of 7:52.40. MIT won the novice eight event with a time of 3:40.90, followed by Columbia (3:52.86) and Holy Cross (3:59.48).
On Sunday, April 5, Holy Cross hosted Dartmouth again at Lake Quinnsigamond, with the Big Green picking up first place in the varsity eight with a time of 6:01, followed by the Crusaders who finished with a time of 6:03. In the second varsity eight race, Dartmouth recorded a first place time of 6:13 while Holy Cross followed with a time of 6:22. In the novice eight race, Dartmouth took first place with a time of 6:13, followed by the Dartmouth B boat (6:15) and Holy Cross (6:45).
