PRINCETON, N.J. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed in the Princeton Charles Race Regatta on Sunday afternoon. The Crusaders competed in the men's varsity heavyweight eight race and the men's freshmen heavyweight eight race.
Holy Cross finished 27th out of 40 boats in the men's varsity heavyweight eight event, with a time of 14.12.701. The men's boat was composed of sophomore coxswain Mary Carol Madigan (Kenilworth, Ill.), junior Daniel McGlinn (Ambler, Pa.), junior D.J. Estes (Falmouth, Mass.), senior co-captian Erick Winstead (Farifield, Conn.), senior Wade Lucas (Portland, Maine), senior James Eagan (Norwich, Conn.), junior Garrett Pearce (Haworth, N.J.), senior co-captain Adam Furlong (Pittstown, N.J.) and senior Christian Bratton (Philadelphia, Pa.).
In the men's freshmen heavyweight eight race, the Crusaders placed 13 out of 16 boats, with a time of 15:39.311. The men's boat was composed of coxswain Tom Wilde, freshman Clint McCabe (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), freshman Sean Corwen (Princeton, N.J.), freshman Tom Gallant (Scotia, N.Y.), freshman Dan Ryan (Wilmette, Ill.), Michael Orenstein, freshman Trevor Zaleski (Haddonfield, N.J.), Charles Ullman and freshman Steve Burison (Worcester, Mass.).
The Crusaders will return to action for their final race of the fall season, traveling to Hanover, N.H. to compete in the Green Monster Regatta on Sunday, November, 1, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
