Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's and women's rowing teams competed at the ECAC Championship on the Quinsigamond River on Sunday, May 8.
After racing was canceled on Saturday due to inclement weather, five Crusaders' boats competed on Sunday. Leading Holy Cross on the day was the men's Varsity Eight boat finished third with a time of 5:54.550 behind first-place Michigan and second-place Marist. Also coming in third was the men's Varsity Lighweight Eight that finished with a time of 6:16.039, beating out Ohio State, WPI and Skidmore.
The women's Varsity Eight boat crossed the finish line at 6:53.370 for a ninth-place finish, beating out local competitor WPI that placed 11th.
In the men's Novice Eight boat, the Crusaders finished fifth with a time of 6:12.144, while the men's Second Novice Eight placed seventh with a time of 6:59.138.
