Men's Rowing Hosts George Washington

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team hosted an event today at Lake Quinsigamond competing against George Washington. The second varsity boat of Scott Dube, Gavin Ehlrich, DJ Estes, Terry Therrien, Garrett Pearce, Will Bogdanowicz, Greg Benneci, Colum Weiden, and Chris Sieck finished second in their race with a time of 6:04.00 just behind George Washington who earned the first place finish with a time of 6:00.39.
The varsity eight boat of Chris Hayden, Adam Furlong, Mike Cutting, Eric Winstead, Wade Lucas, James Eagen, Kevin Cummings, Chris Lynett, and Christian Bratton finished just three second behind George Washington with a time of 5:53.94. The George Washington boat had a first-place finish time of 5:51.96. The men's novice eight boat of Mary Carol Madigan, Grant O'Connell, Robert Valenti, Peter Sandrib, Justin Howlett, Matt O'Sullivan, Ryan Cordes, Tucker Wade, and Pete Haney finished with a time of 6:28.86 behind George Washington who recorded a time of 6:04.91.
The Crusaders will return to action on Sunday, May 11 when they host MIT in a Lightweight event at Lake Quinsigamond.
