WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team faced off against Boston College, Delaware, Williams and Vermont on Sunday morning on Lake Quinsigimond. The crews raced on flat water with a tailwind which decreased during the day.
The Crusaders were victorious in the varsity eight, placing first in a time of 6:07.10. Williams placed second in 6:12.60, followed by Delaware (6:22.17) and Boston College (6:31.46). Holy Cross also claimed first place in the second varsity eight in a time of 6:03.50, while coming in second in the third varsity eight (6:23.74) behind Delaware.
The novice eight recorded another first place finish for the Crusaders, winning in a time of 6:12.30. In the second novice eight, Holy Cross finished in third with a time of 6:56.66.
The Holy Cross men's rowing team returns to the water against Northeastern and Rutgers in Worcester on Saturday, April 28, for its final race of the regular season.
