Men's Rowing Faces Bucknell And Georgetown

COOPER RIVER, N.J. - The Holy Cross men's rowing team raced against Georgetown and Bucknell on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders' varsity four boat of coxswain of Mary Carol MadiganAdam Furlong, Daniel McGlinn, Erick Winstead and Garrett Pearce won its race with a time of 6:38.8, followed by the Georgetown B boat (6:39.8), Georgetown C boat (6:56.0) and the Georgetown A boat (6:58.4).

In the second varsity eight, Georgetown won the race with a time of  6:08.8 while Holy Cross' boat of Chris Hayden, Terry Therrien, D.J. Estes, Charles Ullman, Justin Howlett, Eddie Pinero, Pete Haney, Ron Paranal and Christopher Sieck placed second with a time of  6:12.9 and Bucknell recorded a third place time of 6:30.7.

In the second varsity eight, Georgetown won the race with a time of 6:08.8 while Holy Cross' boat of Chris Hayden, Terry Therrien, D.J. In the novice eight race, Georgetown finished in first with a time of 6:03.2, followed by Holy Cross's boat of Joelle Castro, Tom Gallant, Dan Ryan, Trevor Zaleski, Sean Corwen, Peter Dwyer, Richard Sullivan, Colin Hayes and Patrick Kokszka (6:29.8) and Bucknell (6:35.8).

In the varsity eight, Georgetown placed first with a time of 5:51.1 while Bucknell finished second (5:58.9) and Holy Cross' boat of Madigan, Furlong, McGlinn, Winstead, Pearce, James Eagan, Wade Lucas, Grant O'Connell and Christian Bratton rounded out the competition in third place (6:02.4).

The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, April 26, hosting Delaware at 8:00 a.m.
