Men’s Rowing Places 20th At IRA National Championship

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team placed 20th out of 23 teams at the 111th Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship, concluding its season on the final day of competition on Sunday on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., with six points. Washington won the championship with 198 points.

The No. 20 nationally ranked varsity eight placed third in the fourth-level final out of five boats with a time of 6:05.508. The Crusaders placed 21st out of 23 teams overall in the varsity eight competition.

The second varsity eight placed fifth in the third-level final out of seven boats with a time of 6:08.863. The Crusaders finished 17th out of 19 boats overall in the second varsity eight competition.

The open four was sixth in the petite final out of six boats with a time of 7:09.498. The Crusaders placed 12th out of 13 boats overall in the open four competition.
