2011-2012: Coxswain of the third varsity eight in five spring regattas...third varsity eight won a race with Bucknell (April 29)...also was the coxswain  for the varsity four against Columbia (March 31).

2010-2011: Coxswain of the varsity four that defeated Bucknell (Apr. 23)…also the coxswain of the varsity four at the Eastern Sprints (May 15)…coxswain for the freshman eight in the win over EARC member Rutgers (Apr. 30)…coxswain of the varsity four that qualified for the semifinals at the IRA National Championship (June 2-4).

Before Holy Cross: A three-year member of the varsity rowing team at St. Augustine College Preparatory School…team won the New Jersey State Championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010, while it won the Atlantic County Championship in 2008 and 2009…was a member of a second varsity eight boat that went to the SRAA Nationals…member of National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of John and Deborah Gentile…has one sister (Stephanie)...majoring in Biology.
