Varsity Four Places Fifth In Semifinal Race At IRA National Championship

CAMDEN, N.J. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed in the second day of competition at the 110th Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J., on Friday. The varsity four placed fifth in its semifinal race and will now compete in the petite finals on Saturday, June 2, at 8:55 a.m.

The Crusaders placed fifth out of six boats in their semifinal race as the top three teams qualified for the grand finals and the rest will race in the petite finals. Brown won the race with a time of 7:17.736, followed by Georgetown (7:17.978), Navy (7:19.892), Wisconsin (7:21.786), the Crusaders (7:24.775) and Harvard (7:33.129).
