Men's Rowing Starts Spring Season
PELHAM, N.Y. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team started the spring season versus EARC opponents Columbia, Dartmouth and MIT on Orchard Beach Lagoon. The varsity eight race was won by No. 13 Columbia (5:48.7), while No. 17 Dartmouth (5:53.9) placed second, Holy Cross (6:04.5) finished third and MIT (6:24.6) placed fourth.
The second varsity eight competed versus Dartmouth in a dual-race as the Big Green (5:58.5) defeated the Crusaders (6:04.0). The varsity four raced versus Columbia as the Lions (6:50.7) defeated the Crusaders (7:02.9). Dartmouth (6:05.7) won the freshman eight race, while Columbia (6:11.9) placed second, MIT (6:14.4) finished third and Holy Cross (6:20.5) placed fourth.
The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, April 1, when the second freshman eight will race versus Bates and WPI on Lake Quinsigamond at 10:40 a.m. The Crusaders will then compete at the George Washington Invitational on Saturday, April 7, on the Potomac River.

Holy Cross varsity four: John Gentile (coxswain), Mike Lindsay, Trevor Zaleski, Nicholas Powers, Steve Raiola.
