Crusaders To Start Spring Season Versus Columbia, Dartmouth & MIT
Holy Cross Men's Rowing
Schedule: Saturday, March 31 vs. Columbia, Dartmouth & MIT, Pelham, N.Y., 5:00 p.m.
- The Holy Cross men's rowing team will start its spring season by taking on EARC members Columbia, Dartmouth and MIT on March 31. The team will race on Orchard Beach Lagoon in Pelham, N.Y.
- The Crusaders will then compete at the George Washington Invitational (April 7) and take on EARC opponent Georgetown (April 14) in Princeton, N.J. The Crusaders will then meet EARC member Northeastern (April 21). Holy Cross will compete in three straight regattas on Lake Quinsigamond. The Crusaders will take on EARC opponent Rutgers (April 22), Bucknell (April 29) and then compete at the Eastern Sprints (May 13) as the Crusaders will row against some of the best teams in the nation. Holy Cross will conclude the season pending qualification at the IRA National Championship (May 31-June 2) in Camden, N.J.
- During the fall season, the varsity eight placed first out of 23 boats at the Snake Regatta. The Crusaders recorded two top-10 finishes at the Head of the Charles. Holy Cross placed ninth out of 52 boats in the club four race and then finished seventh out of 40 boats in the collegiate eight competition. The freshman eight placed second out of 24 boats at the Green Monster Regatta.
