
2010-2011: Member of the varsity eight that competed at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 9), which placed first out of 20 boats…rowed for the varsity eight for all eight competitions in the spring…varsity eight won the Sullivan Cup by defeating George Washington (April 9)…the Crusaders also defeated Bucknell (April 23) and EARC member Rutgers (April 30).
2009-2010: Member of the varsity four that competed at the 108th IRA National Championship (June 3-5) placing second in the third-level finals and 14th out of 18 teams overall…member of the second varsity eight.
2008-2009: Member
of the freshman eight...invited and attended U.S. Men's National
Team Freshmen Rowing Camp.
Before Holy Cross: A three-sport athlete,
participating in rowing, track, and tennis...two-time captain of
the rowing team at Scotia-Glenville...was named the team's Most
Dedicated...helped lead the team to one sectional title and a
third-place finish at the New York state championship...set school
records in the 2k and 6k pieces...went undefeated (9-0) in doubles
on the tennis team, helping the squad win the conference and
sectional championships while being named an Academic
All-Star...also a mid-distance runner on the track team, finishing
first at the 2007 Foothills meet...was a class officer and
president of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Thomas and Maria Gallant...has
one brother, Bobby, and two sisters, Mia and Nicole, who rowed for
four years at Simmons College...majoring in Chemistry (Premed).
