Men's Rowing Takes On #15 Georgetown

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed versus No. 15 Georgetown on Saturday afternoon on Lake Carnegie. Georgetown won all four races.

Georgetown won the varsity eight with a time of 5:58.8 as the Crusaders finished at 6:12.2. Georgetown took the second varsity eight at 6:21.7, while the Crusaders recorded a time of 6:24.4. Three boats competed in the varsity four race as Georgetown (7:18.8) placed first, followed by two Holy Cross boats as the third varsity four (7:21.8) placed second and the freshman four (7:52.9) finished third. Georgetown won the freshman eight with a time of 6:14.4 as the Crusaders tallied a 6:18.3. 

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 23, for a meeting with Bucknell on Lake Quinsigamond at 9:15 a.m.

Holy Cross second varsity eight: Steve Burison (coxswain), Paul Gaffney, Nick Forgione, Andrew Cecchetti, Dan Ryan, Pete Haney, Mike Walker, Nicholas Powers, Kevin Smith.

Holy Cross freshman eight: Brendan Siebecker (coxswain), Jordan Traub, Matt Haraburda, Sean O'Neill, Anthony Curro, Tom Schoenberger, Henry Van Damme, Mike Lindsay, Bryan Ptucha.
