Crusaders Set To Race #15 Georgetown
Scoreboard: No team scores at GW Invitational, Washington, D.C. 4/9-10
Schedule: Saturday, April 16 vs. #15 Georgetown, Princeton, N.J., 2:00 p.m.
- The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 16, when they take on No. 15 Georgetown in Princeton, N.J. Last week at the George Washington Invitational, the Crusaders competed in three races versus Georgetown and Gonzaga. The varsity eight finished second with Georgetown placing first, the second varsity eight placed first with Georgetown finishing third and the freshman eight placed third with Georgetown finishing first.
- Last season the Crusaders competed versus Georgetown in Pelham, N.Y., on April 17, at Orchard Beach Lagoon. Georgetown won all three races at the competition.
- At the George Washington Invitational, the varsity eight won the Sullivan Cup by defeating George Washington and the second varsity eight placed first versus Gonzaga and Georgetown. The varsity eight (5:59.6) also just behind Oxford (5:58.5).
- After the Crusaders compete versus Georgetown, Holy Cross will return to Lake Quinsigamond for a match up with Bucknell (April 23) and then hit the road to compete versus Rutgers (April 30). Lake Quinsigamond will once again be the venue for the Eastern Sprints (May 15) as the Crusaders will compete against some of the best teams in the nation. Holy Cross will conclude the season pending qualification at the IRA National Championship (June 2-4) in Camden, N.J.
