Men's Rowing Competes At Day One Of IRA National Championship

CAMDEN, N.J. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed at day one of the 108th IRA National Championship on the Cooper River on Thursday. The varsity four raced twice on the day.

The Crusaders (6:43.454) placed fourth in their opening heat. The heat was won by Wisconsin (6:26.654) and Yale (6:28.951) finished second. Temple (6:39.177) placed third, while Drexel (6:50.817) finished fifth and Loyola (Md.) (7:06.338) placed sixth. Holy Cross (6:39.070) then placed fourth in its repechage heat as the top three qualified for the semifinals. Brown (6:31.006) finished first as Syracuse (6:35.00) placed second and Princeton (6:35.009) placed third. Loyola (6:50.005) finished fifth and Navy (6:50.921) finished sixth. 

The varsity four will conclude competition on June 5 with the third-level finals.
