Men's Rowing Wins Two Of Three Races Versus Rutgers

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team won two of three races versus Rutgers on Sunday on the Raritan River. The Crusaders' varsity eight and freshman eight each earned victories.

Holy Cross (6:12.0) defeated Rutgers (6:20:1) in the varsity eight, while the Crusaders (6:23.1) won the freshman eight race over Rutgers (6:32.2). Rutgers (6:32.0) won the second varsity eight race over Holy Cross (6:38.8).

The Crusaders return to action when they compete on Sunday, May 16 in the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond.

Holy Cross varsity eight: Chris Hayden, Gaven Ehrlich, D.J. Estes, Peter Dwyer, Sean Corwen, Colin Hayes, Dan Ryan, Dan McGlinn, Garrett Pearce.

Holy Cross second varsity eight: Steve Burison, Pete Haney, Trevor Zaleski, Tom Gallant, Richard Sullivan, Eddie Pinero, Patrick Kokoszka, Ron Paranal, Kevin Smith.

Holy Cross freshman eight: James Balardi, Pat Rapuano, Paul Gaffney, Kevin Moran, Peter Prominski, Lucas Netchert, Mike Walker, Nick Forgione, Nicholas Powers.
