Crusaders To Race At The George Washington Invitational

  • The Holy Cross men’s rowing team will return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10, when it travels to Washington, D.C., to compete at the 23rd George Washington Invitational held on the Potomac River. No. 14 George Washington, No. 11 Cornell, Georgetown, Gonzaga, No. 20 MIT, No. 14 Navy and UC San Diego will also compete at the event. The Crusaders will be competing against George Washington for the Sullivan Cup which was named after Holy Cross Hall of Famer Tom Sullivan.
  • Last year at the George Washington Invitational, the Crusaders tied for 10th out of 12 teams. Navy won the competition with 230 points.
  • The Crusaders will compete in two more events on Lake Quinsigamond this spring season with races versus Bucknell (April 24) and then the Eastern Sprints (May 16).
  • Following the George Washington Invitational, the Crusaders will take on Georgetown on Saturday, April 17, in Pelham, N.Y.
