2008-2009: A
member of the second varsity eight that finished the Eastern
Sprints in 16th place (May 10).
2007-2008: Rowed with the second varsity eight
that won the Patriot Challenge (April 27) and defeated
Dartmouth's second varsity eight head-to-head (April 5)...helped
the second varsity eight to a 15th place finish in the Eastern
Sprints and 18th at the IRA Regatta.
2006-2007: Member of the freshman eight that won
their race at the Sullivan Cup (March 31), Knecht Cup (April 14)
and Patriot League Challenge (May 1)...rowed on the first freshman
eight team in Holy Cross history to compete in the Eastern Sprints,
finishing 14th (May 13).
Before Holy Cross: Played soccer and basketball at
Sandwich H.S....advanced to the Massachusetts state soccer
tournament all four years, including a berth as a state
semifinalist in 2004.
Personal: Son of Edgar and Julie Pinero...has one
sister, Alice, and one brother, Michael... Father, Edgar, played
football at the University of Puerto Rico...majoring in Political
Science.
