2008-2009: Split his time between the second varsity eight and the varsity eight...was a member of the first Holy Cross varsity team to compete at the Princeton Chase (Oct. 26)...rowed with the second varsity eight when Holy Cross finished 16th at the Eastern Sprints (May 10).

2007-2008: Helped Holy Cross win the Patriot Challenge as a member of the second varsity eight (Apr. 28)...rowed on boats that finished 15th at the Eastern Sprints (May 18) and 18th at the IRA Championship Regatta (Jun. 5-7).

2006-2007: Member of the freshman eight that won their race at the Sullivan Cup (Mar. 31), Knecht Cup (Apr. 14) and Patriot League Challenge (May 1)...rowed on the first freshman eight team in Holy Cross history to compete in the Eastern Sprints, finishing 14th.

Before Holy Cross: Was a two-sport athlete for three years, playing ice hockey and lacrosse...a wrist injury prevented him from competing athletically during his senior year...won the ACL Sportsmanship Award during his time on the hockey team, and was also the recipient of the Varsity Coaches Award...earned High Academic Honors all four years, and was also a three-time winner of the Student Athlete Award.

Personal: Son of Donald and Sharon Estes... has two sisters Katie and Caroline...majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Latin American Studies.
