Men's Lacrosse Places Five On Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team placed five student-athletes on the 2006 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league officials. Leading Holy Cross was junior Kyle Gwyn-Williams (Shrewsbury, N.J.) who posted a 3.75 grade point average during the Spring semester.

Joining Gwyn-Williams on the Academic Honor Roll were senior John O'Sullivan (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), junior David Vafek (Michalovce, Slovakia), freshman Rich Durand (Oradell, N.J.) and John Marino (Skaneateles, N.Y.).

A total of 57 student-athletes from men's lacrosse teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the Spring semester, and be a starter or key reserve on his team.
